About Us

Dunn Post 59 is located in Harnett County, North Carolina and was chartered in the summer of 1919 as "Dunn-Erwin" Post 59.   It is located in Dunn, NC although its original name was derived from two neighboring towns.   It became "Dunn" Post 59 in 1926 after the election of William Dare Holland as commander in 1925.

Post #59 averages approximately 240 member Veterans from all walks of life, countries and eligible War eras, including the cold war. The Post is proud to have had three of its sons attain the position of North Carolina Department Commanders:
